Episode Summary

How many times a week do you catch yourself saying “Oh no I can’t do that, I’m too busy”? In this episode of the Oh For Food’s Sake Podcast, we’re not going to tell you that you actually do have the time. Instead, we’re sharing the message that being busy isn’t a badge of honour and that you can survive (or even thrive) without being busy all the time.

Episode Notes

How many times a week do you catch yourself saying “Oh no I can’t do that, I’m too busy”? In this episode of the Oh For Food’s Sake Podcast, we’re not going to tell you that you actually do have the time. Instead, we’re sharing the message that being busy isn’t a badge of honour and that you can survive (or even thrive) without being busy all the time.

We explore the social and psychological forces that drive our chronic busyness and how the pressures of working in the food industry can exacerbate the busyness phenomenon. Then we share our top tips to tackle busyness, from delegating tasks at work and in the home, to taking time to rest and reflect on our internal values.

If this episode makes you want to drop your busy badge of honour, head over to our Facebook page and tell us about your anti-busyness pledge! And make sure that you follow or subscribe to the Oh For Food’s Sake Podcast wherever you get your podcasts so that you don’t miss an episode.
