Episode Notes

Can you have a career where you grow and feel challenged but still supported, and still stay with the same company for decades? Yes, you can! On this episode of the Oh For Food’s Sake podcast, we talk to food industry legend Claire Martino about her long tenure at Bakkavor and what she’s learnt from working in the food industry for 20+ years.

Claire walks us through her own journey at Bakkavor, telling us about some of the moves she made within the company and what they taught her. We unpack making career moves that support you when you’re having a family and how to take on extra responsibility as a working parent, when you feel ready for it. Later on, we explore what personal development actually means and Claire reveals how she’s able to continue developing in her role by taking on extra projects, such as her mentorship work through the fabulous Flourish in Food programme.
